In His Hands, a dramatic rock
opera by Susan Olmos was
created in 1984 and produced
as an ecumenical venture.
Peter recounts the ministry of
Jesus of Nazareth from a
prison cell before he is taken
away to be executed.
The cast is supported by a SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass)chorus, dancers, 20 piece orchestra and rock band. The songs are in an easy going pop style and in some cases up-beat rock. There are hints of classical romantic influences on the more epic level pieces.
